The last portable MiniDisc recorder produced by Sony.

When originally released, it was the only device capable of transferring recordings made on standard MiniDiscs back to a computer. However, this functionality is now available to all USB-equipped HiMD portables as well as a number of NetMD portables thanks to the WebMiniDisc project. A list of the NetMD portables which support this feature can be found Here

There is no functional difference between the MZ-RH1 and MZ-M200. The only difference between the two devices, other than branding, is the M200 was specifically marketed as a field recorder and sold in a bundle with the Sony ECM-DS70P stereo microphone.

Notes for Modern Day Buyers:

Repair

Thanks to the brilliant work of Sir68k, replacement OLEDs are now available for these flagship MiniDisc recorders. After multiple revisions, they fit perfectly and install with only the smallest modification necessary. They are larger and brighter than the originals and should last longer, based on the newer technology. Sir68k's MZ-RH1 page [*]
