Making Your Own Audio Output Cables

It is possible to make your own cables to connect the outout of this unit to a traditional amplifier or set of powered speakers. Shielded audio cable is recommended. There are three types of 8pin DIN connector, 262°, 270° and mini. The CMT-C7NT uses the non-mini 270° variation, the 262° and mini connectors do not fit!

Speaker pinout connections:

  1. Audio Ground
  2. 5V relay for speaker
  3. Audio Output
  4. Speaker Ground
  5. B- (20V DC-)
  6. Power Ground
  7. B+ (20V DC+)
  8. Audio Mute

Parts used:

Using 8 pin DIN connectors solder pin 1 of the DIN connector to the shield / ground to an RCA plug and pin 3 of the DIN to the pin of the RCA plug.
