I saw this Road Trip swap as a means to think of the songs I drove, rode, flew, ran or hiked to. However the task to fit them all on one disc proved to be unsolvable, so two disc were born: one for the day and one for the night.
As with any other participant's disc each track has a story and many miles behind it.
U2's Until The End Of The World will always remind me of the road from Toronto to Niagara Falls which I took early in the morning only to find out that the falls can't be seen in the morning fog. Achilles Last Stand was my companion on a train from Lyon to Bourg-en-Bresse on the visit to my now wife. Zoolook almost made me hallucinate on a long-night winter drive through Northern Finland when falling snow in headlights looks like a leap from Star Wars. And Crystal Lake motivates me to take a run at night.
All tracks were recorded from lossless CD rips with WMD Pro and Sony MDS-NT1 device.
